Q: Do you build using steel?
A: Sometimes, yes. Roof framing systems in a fully heated commercial warehouse building often require steel purlins and trusses for energy code purposes instead of wood.
| Horse riding arenas commonly use steel trusses to span 70' or more in width. |
Q: Can you build houses?
A: Pioneer Post Frame will construct a residence shell only (fully enclosed) as long as the owner assumes the general contractor management role or hires a licensed G.C. in the case of a construction loan through a local bank.

Q: Do I need to handle the site prep?
A: You are welcome to, but most customers take advantage of our machines and the full time site prep crew we have available. Utilities in a public right of way would require another outfit's involvement, but building pads, driveways, and MOST utility trenching we can do. We also offer in-house compaction tests at a competitive price.

HEATED FLOORS:
Ask your plumber or electrician who they prefer to work with or find out how to lay the pex pipe tubing yourself as a home owner and we will pour the concrete floor over the fully insulated area for super comfy living.

STORAGE MEZZANINES:
Galvanized hog wire fencing makes a decent and inexpensive guardrail for utility spaces
Lighter and cheaper than drywall, light gauge steel panels make a clean ceiling finish or wainscot on the inside of a building. Also makes for easy access to electrical wiring in the framing.
